Halloween is this weekend, so I thought I’d share a scary tale with you today. The following pictures are examples of what you should hope to NEVER find in your attic.
Those are tangled air ducts and attic insulation that is barely existent.
Pictures like those are sad to see. Unfortunately we see stuff like that all the time in the attics of people whose air conditioners aren’t cooling properly. This is an especially big problem in San Antonio. And it’s something people don’t think to check until there’s an issue.
I know it’s hot in your attic, but do yourself a favor and take a look around up there. Make sure your ducts are up against the top of your ceiling and not on the ground. Also, make sure you have insulation that should reach the roof rafters.
If you’re having problems with hot or cold spots in your house, this is likely the reason why.
