As a former combat controller in the Air Force and the owner of an air conditioning company that does what it can to promote energy efficiency, seeing this letter put a smile on my face.
The Air Force sent that letter out to all airmen, asking them to be energy efficient at home and on the job. It’s part of the government’s Energy Awareness Month, but it’s also part of a new theme from the Air Force about the ties between energy use and mission success.
Throwing money at problems will hardly solve the issue, but long-term strategies produce results. It really is a huge task for people to change their ways of living – believe me, I know. But I know a lot of you have some simple ideas that others may not have thought of. So what do you do that helps conserve? San Antonio is a huge Air Force city, so let’s help them out!
