San Antonio Summer Weather Forecast
Summer weather and extreme heat is on its way. For people who live in San Antonio, this can make for some long days and nights. Each year, the weather can be unpredictable – so you may be asking yourself, “How long do I have before it hits 100 degrees?”
Usually in San Antonio, we hit 100 regularly in July and August. According to KSAT’s weather history records, the average temperatures in July 2016 was 97 and the max 100. In August 2016 the average was 92 with a max of 102 degrees.
This year the first day in San Antonio that is predicated to reach 100 degrees will be July 7, 2017. According to Accuweather, the max will be 100 with a low of 73.
Being prepared for the summer heat in San Antonio is a must. If you don’t have the proper air conditioning system and resources you could be in a dangerous situation health wise. Heat is the number one weather-related killer. Heat can kill by pushing the human body beyond its limits. In extreme heat and high humidity situations, evaporation is slowed and the body must work extra hard to maintain a normal temperature.
Without a proper cooling system for the summer some of the effects of heat exhaustions can include: dehydration, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, headaches, and nausea. Champion AC wants to prepare you for when it will get into triple digits.
Now is the best time to prepare yourself, your friends and family for the summer weather. Technically the first day of summer won’t be until June 20, but in San Antonio the weather forecast will already be in the high 90s in the next month or so. The best way to make sure you will stay cool and healthy this summer is to invest in a proper air conditioning unit.
