It is no secret that using air conditioning in San Antonio takes up a big chunk of your electric bill. That’s why we spend so much time here at the Champion AC blog talking about energy-efficient technologies, etc.

Of course, there are so many others doing their part to spread the word about conservation and efficiency.

For instance, ERCOT – or the Electric Reliability Council of Texas – has two new television ads making the rounds here in Texas. ERCOT is the group of people that sends out the brownout/blackout warnings. It keeps an eye on the state’s energy grid. So it has an invested interest in conserving as much energy as possible.
