One question we hear quite frequently from Champion AC customers is about their thermostat. What temperature should it be set at during the summer?
During the summer, San Antonio air conditioning isn’t a luxury – it’s more of a necessity. And there is no simple answer to that question. Everyone has a different level of comfort at home.
What we can do, however, is pass along the recommended settings for maximum energy efficiency. Most of the new, energy-efficient AC systems on the market are designed to keep your house about 20 degrees cooler than it is outside. Most summers, we peak at about 100 degrees, so setting your thermostat at 78-80 degrees during the day is right in that efficiency window.
