We’ve had about a week to digest and decompress after the Fans 4 SA fan drive. I just wanted to take a minute here to personally thank each and every person and business that contributed. Because of your generosity, hundreds of families will now have help staying cool this summer. That’s huge. And you should be proud.
A couple of images will stick in my head from this year’s fan drive. One, the sweet lady who pulled up with a “Random Acts of Kindness” bumper sticker on her car. She told me she tries to follow that advice every day. We should all be so lucky to pull that off. I can also still picture this father and young son who each walked up with a fan. What a great bonding moment for a family.
And don’t forget – you can still help with the Fans 4 SA fan drive. You can drop off any new box fan at our offices in Helotes or at Olmos Perk on McCullough. Mr. Plumber just let me know you can also drop off fans at their office on Mainland Drive.
If you or someone you know needs a fan, call 211 and get on the list.
Thanks again to everyone who helped donate and collect these fans. I should also thank Family Service Association and the YMCA for sitting out in the sun with Champion Home Services employees all day. It’s been a great experience for our company and one we hope to carry on in the future.
